The Hollow Day 2 Puzzle: Six-Pillar Rotation
Reach Floor 2, find the pillar room, turn every carved face inward, then pull the lever and return the relic to the elevator.

Table of Contents
The Day 2 puzzle in The Hollow is the six-pillar rotation room on Floor 2. Turn each pillar so its carved face points toward the centre — but every turn also rotates the neighbouring pillars. When all six are aligned and beaming, pull the lever, take the relic, and return to the elevator.
Where to go on Floor 2
Take the elevator and choose Floor 2. The maze changes each time you load in, so the exact route is not fixed.
IGN's Day 2 walkthrough says the puzzle room tends to be on the right side of the map and looks like a playhouse. From the far-right room, go upstairs and into the back room with the pillars and lever. Gamezebo's quest guide instead places it in the Dandy's World area and says to take a right when you enter. A player video shows going through a blue room and up the stairs to the pillar area.
Treat those as visual cues rather than a fixed map. Twisted Dandy from Dandy's World patrols this floor, and GamesRadar's event guide reports that being caught means starting the challenge again.
Solving the pillars
The sign warns that turning one stone turns its neighbours. IGN's Day 2 walkthrough quotes the riddle with six stone pumpkins, while Gamezebo's version quotes six stone bats; either way, the action is the same: get every carved face pointing inward.
- Interact with a pillar to rotate it.
- Watch the two pillars beside it — they rotate too.
- A correctly placed pillar sends a beam of light toward the centre.
- When all six beams are lit, pull the lever.
- Take the relic back to the elevator and exit to claim the floor reward.
If a pillar is not beaming, it is not aligned yet. If the lever does not respond, scan the circle for a pillar that is still facing the wrong way. Working around the circle and re-checking the neighbours after each turn is safer than turning pillars at random.
Timing
Floor 2 arrived with the October 23 update. IGN reports rewards can be earned until November 2, and GamesRadar notes that each day keeps its own floor, so a late start does not necessarily mean skipping Day 2 while the event is live.
FAQ
What is The Hollow Day 2 puzzle?
It is a six-pillar rotation puzzle on Floor 2. Turn every carved face toward the centre; neighbours rotate with it. When all six pillars beam, pull the lever.
Where is the Day 2 puzzle room?
Guides point to the right side of Floor 2, in a playhouse-like or Dandy's World area. Go upstairs into the back room with the pillars and lever. The maze layout changes, so the exact turns vary.
Does the Floor 2 maze stay the same?
No. IGN and the player video both note that the layout changes, so the puzzle room can be in a different place on another run.
What happens if Twisted Dandy catches me?
GamesRadar reports that being caught sends you back to the start of the challenge, so it is best to clear the floor in one run.
